Todays Freebies: Vintage Animals Dogs Part 3

These are the last of he Dog images I have. I've included wolves and Foxes in this last part.
The next lot of images I will be sharing will be Rabbits, there are alot of them too.

Tea cup mini pig easel card

My friend wants to own one of those tea cup pigs. I've never heard of them until now.  It looks to me like an animal you could easily lose in your house!


For her birthday I made this pig themed card. I experimented in making a box style envelope for it....out of wallpaper.... of course, as I always do. It turned out OK, however I did have to reinforce the sides with some chipboard strips.


I treated myself to some circle scalloped  Nestability dies so decided to make the circular 'tag' .  I also put a vellum 'window' on the front of the envelope, but you cannot see through it at all. If I do this again I'll use a bit of clear acetate. 


Thank you to 'The Graphics fairy' for the free sentiments, which I actually copied then modified a little in photoshop. 


The 'tag' that props up the front of the card 'make a wish' was meant to be loose. I'd ordered a couple of fimo pig heads and intended to use them to prop the card up, but they never arrived in time. The whole of France is on holiday in August, and it severely affects postal deliveries. What is the betting they turn up tomorrow!


The scalloped edges on the back of the envelope were done with shaped scissors. That was fun trying to line them up exactly!  I made all the fabric flowers myself, and I particularly like the pink button, as it looks just like a pigs snout. 
Instead of adding leaves to the flowers I wound through some gauze I found in our first aid box. I've been looking for some everywhere, and I had some here all the time, and I have been dying to use it. 
Talking of dying, the next card I am planning will involve having a go at dyeing some of the gauze with my over abundant crop of blackberries.


2 things I wish I could change on this card is to get rid of the brown fibre edging, I don't like it. Secondly, I really must try harder in lining up things straight. I can see it in the photos now that some elements are decidedly on the skew. Well, I am only an amateur I suppose, it looks so unprofessional.


One thing I did learn whilst making this is to tie bows so they sit straight. But I couldn't do this on the back of the envelope because the ribbon was too short and I did not have any-more in that colour. Good evening, afternoon, morning, whatever time it is where you are.
Part 2 of the vintage dog images, including one wolf image. The wolf image appears to have a green band over it. I thought this might of been a fault with the uploading, but that is how the image is.
I have just finished a Pig Themed card. If I get all the photo's sorted out tonight I will post them up. For this card I decided to try and make a box style envelope because, it did not need to go through the postal system and I thought it would prevent the embellishments on the card from becoming crushed. Well, see what you think of it once I get it onto the blog.
Right, stop rabbiting and get these dog images up!

Freebies: Vintage dog images

Hello,

Before I set about uploading the start of rather a large amount of Vintage Dog images, I must tell you about a fabulous blog I have discovered called 'A little bit French'  Now, you might be forgiven for thinking I am biased, because I live in France. Nothing could be further from the truth. The craft items that Ronda creates with lace, linens and fabrics, is pure shabby chic, a style I adore but have not ventured into myself as yet. I do have a big collection of lace and fabrics, as I am very attracted to natural textiles. However, I seem to have more inspiration than time to make anything from them!

Anyway have a look at the gorgeous items that Ronda makes, they look so very tactile. I am sure you will be as taken with them as I am.

OK, onto the dog images. These will be spread out over a few days. I am not going to post them in any particular order, that would take too long. Instead I am just going to upload several at a time in the sequence in which they already are.

There's some cuties in this lot, especially if you are a cat lover like me.
Tomorrow I'll move onto dogs, staying with 'pets', and there's rather alot of doggie images, so they will be coming in over a few days..

Freebies: Vintage Mice images

Not everyone likes mice, but these are quite cute. I hope you enjoy them too. I think that I'll upload some Cats tomorrow, try and keep the flow and connection from one animal to another.
