This particular card I made this week is for a real tomboy lady's birthday who as well as being an 'off roading' freak in her top of the range Land Rover, likes to sing with 'big band' musicians. So I thought I'd use this as the theme, something a bit glitzy and more 'girly' than land rovers and muddiness. .
I sprayed the chipboard letters with glue then dipped them into fine glitter. I only hope it stays stuck on as I do not know any other way of gluing glitter down.
Hi Jan! Just discovered your blog via a comment you made on the Extreme Cards and Papercrafts Blog (which I regularly go on as it's brilliant!)
ReplyDeleteYour work is just great. I love this card, with its cool pink and 3-D effect. You may have wanted to do something more "girlie" for her but it still maintains a strong, tom-boyish effect - just the right balance! It's so cool!
I'm now going to follow your blog! Have a look at mine too - I'm fairly new to papercrafting although I've made cards for ages - I've just done a couple of projects with videos. I can see this becoming an obsession!!!
Wow - this is gorgeous!!!! Lots of detail here.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, great card - love the colours and bit and pieces you have used. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteYou left me a message in the Cuttlebug Cupboard, in answer to your question the stencil comes in one piece and I cut it up with scissors. I'm not sure if I would use them for embellishments because of the sharp bits, but if you hang on and look in the Cupboard again I will be demonstrating how I use them. Thanks for your comment and support. Hope this helps. ikki
